The betta fish, most commonly known as the Siamese Fighting Fish, is a very popular tropical fish for its ease of care, but breeding betas successfully is another matter. I remember when I was a boy and breeding tropical fish was a hobby of mine I quickly found how tricky it actually was to try and breed bettas. I remember failing at several attempts before learning and discovering what works and what doesn’t when it comes to breeding betas. Trying to Breed bettas is definitely not easy even for those who have done so successfully in the past but hopefully some of these tips I’m going to share with you will help you succeed.

So here are 3 quick tips that you hopefully raise your awareness to breeding betas successfully.

1. Don’t use Store Bought Bettas. Let me repeat that, Don’t use store bought betas. Well I hate to be so harsh about it and be blunt like that, but you will NEVER produce quality betas using store bought fish. Why? Simply because most store bought bettas are old fish with no drive if you know what I mean. This along with the fact that they are usually less healthy then quality betas from a seasoned reputable IBC breeder and will almost always have the wrong tail type.

2. Always Buy Breeding Betta Stock in Pairs. Try to always get your male and female from the same reputable breeder. Chances are they will have suitable compatible genes. This is very important so don’t just glance by this tip. Unless you have all the pieces of the puzzle, how can you successfully reproduce the traits of the strain of betta you are trying to produce?

3. Always buy at LEAST 2 pairs of the strain you wish to breed. Why? Because betta fish are like people. In order to breed betas successfully you have to treat it just like you were trying to set up your friend on a blind date. Bettas are picky. Breeders. Just like people Bettas have tastes and personalities and not every time you go on a blind date do you land up hitting it off. Well the same is true for betta fish just because you stick a male and female together doesn’t necessarily mean a love connection. No love, no spawning bettas. There are other reasons for this as well but this is the main one. By having more then one pair you double your chances in making that love connection.

I like dogs because they have real personalities. I like dogs because there are some many types. Some of my favorites are Boxers, Yorkies, Labs, Dalmatians, and Maltese. I like dogs because they’re very clever and very funny pets. I like dogs because they are smart and they are great friends and members of the family. Dogs are great to hangout and relax with. There always there when you need a companion.

Dogs often give people that relationship needed at the property time. I gave my wife are first dog when I proposed to here. I put the ring around her collar. Are Yorkie is now and forever a big part of our relationship and family. She has brought us together because it’s something that we share. She is a life that’s our responsibility. Puppy training was the first task that we concurred. No matter what type of dog you have we all share common qualities and traits.

I have some friends that have found a love for each other through there dogs. Its funny how people meet and dog parks etc… We all know the puppy trick. You take a puppy down to the beach and you will have some many girls approach you. There great ways to start conversations. Many people have dogs in common.

There are probably a million things I could say I like about dogs. The best thing is everyone can express what they feel about there pet and share there experiences with others.

For some, raising confident children is easy because their children are already bent in that direction. For others, this could be a battle. All parents can do is the best they can. Not all children are meant to be outgoing, and that is just fine. Raising confident children means that they are secure inside, but they do not have to be the most outgoing child in every situation. It is a mix of different types and personalities that makes the world an interesting place. If your child is not the most outgoing in their class, that does not mean they are not going to have a fulfilling school experience or a good life ahead of them.

One great way to go about raising confident children is to encourage them when they do things right. You can not always say they have done a good job for everything, or that is all you are going to do all day. However, you must remember that reinforcing the good is a great way to go about raising children that are confident. They will feel empowered when they know they are doing well. You do have to correct negative behavior, but that should always be balanced out with praise for the good stuff.

Another aspect of raising confident children is to let the accidents happen. There are times when a child knows they have done something wrong, and they already know not to do it. Those are times when they should be corrected. However, when something is an accident, or an experiment, so to speak, take it easy on the punishment. Children with confidence should not be afraid to try new things, and you can stunt that urge in them if you do not allow children to be children. You do not have to be perfect, and neither do your children. Raising confident children might just mean showing them how confident you are, and then they can learn from your example.
